Business Development Manager – Renewable Energy

About the role

Elsewedy Electric - IPP is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive profitable growth of its renewable energy portfolio across the Balkan region, Southern Europe and Francophone Africa. You will build strong relationships with developers, regulators, private partners and contractors to expand the company’s project footprint.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate new IPP and EPC opportunities in target markets.
• Review project documents (PPA, implementation agreements, usufruct agreements) to assess commercial risks.
• Conduct market research, prepare project teasers and tender documentation.
• Present project updates to senior leadership and approach lenders for financing.
• Create and review financial models, negotiate financing terms, and develop action plans for project development.
• Allocate budgets, set milestones, and hire legal, tax and financial advisors.
• Support legal negotiations from a commercial perspective and ensure compliance with HSE policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related discipline.
• 7‑10 years of experience in renewable energy business development.
• Fluent in French and English (French mandatory).
• Strong computer proficiency, especially Microsoft Office.
