Business Development & Venture Building

About the role

VALORIZEN is seeking a proactive Business Development & Venture Building professional to turn breakthrough research into market‑ready ventures. You will bridge universities, research centres, investors and industry to unlock funding and create strategic partnerships.

Key responsibilities

• Build ventures and long‑term strategic partnerships with universities, research centres, industry and government.
• Identify and apply for grants, innovation programmes and funding opportunities (e.g., UNIDO, IFC, GIZ, USAID, UNDP, Horizon Europe, PRIMA).
• Support licensing, commercialization and venture‑building activities around VALORIZEN’s technologies.
• Generate qualified leads, manage the sales pipeline and pursue new business opportunities.
• Prepare winning proposals, presentations and partnership agreements.
• Represent VALORIZEN at networking events, conferences and with international partners.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or a related field.
• 3–7 years of experience in business development, innovation or startups.
• Hands‑on experience with international organisations and donor‑funded programmes.
• Strong negotiation and presentation abilities.
• Excellent English communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
