Category Manager – Commercial Growth

About the role

The Category Manager drives commercial performance of assigned product categories, overseeing assortment, pricing, promotions and supplier relationships. The role focuses on achieving revenue, profitability and customer satisfaction targets through data‑driven decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver category revenue, profitability and growth targets through effective commercial execution.
• Implement category strategies aligned with overall business objectives.
• Analyse customer insights and market trends to identify growth opportunities.
• Manage pricing and promotional activities to stimulate trial and retention.
• Project and monitor category sales, KPIs and regularly share performance with cross‑functional teams.
• Collaborate with supply & demand teams to forecast volumes and ensure product availability.
• Work with marketing on new product launches and ongoing campaigns.
• Monitor competitor activity and market trends, providing recommendations for category expansion.
• Partner with sourcing, procurement, QA and operations to resolve product issues, excess or shortage inventory.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years experience as a Category Manager or in a similar commercial role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing or a related field.
• Strong negotiation and interpersonal abilities.
• Analytical mindset with strategic thinking.
• High organisational skills and ability to work cross‑functionally.
