Commercial Engineer

About the role

Aqualia Egypt is seeking a Commercial Engineer to support the growth of its water‑infrastructure business. Based in New Cairo, you will work closely with engineering, finance and legal teams to secure and manage high‑value contracts.

Key responsibilities

• Identify new market opportunities and build relationships with decision‑makers.
• Analyse tender documents and prepare competitive cost estimates for civil infrastructure projects.
• Manage FIDIC (or similar) contracts, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions.
• Lead commercial tender preparation, including cost estimation, risk assessment and pricing strategy.
• Negotiate commercial terms, SLAs and project variations to protect margins.
• Monitor industry trends and competitor activity to inform pricing and project development.
• Assess on‑site scope changes, calculate cost impact and negotiate adjustments.
• Review supplier and subcontractor bids, prepare and defend EOT and additional cost claims.

Required profile

• 3–7 years of experience in technical sales, cost engineering or commercial management.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil or related engineering.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
