Compliance Officer – AML & KYC Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a diligent Compliance Officer to join our banking compliance team. The role focuses on anti‑money‑laundering (AML) and know‑your‑customer (KYC) activities, ensuring the institution meets all regulatory obligations and internal policies.

Key responsibilities

• Perform enhanced due‑diligence reviews on high‑risk account openings and render decisions.
• Process daily SAS‑generated AML alerts and conduct transaction‑monitoring investigations.
• Review and monitor customer accounts in line with the bank’s KYC/AML policies and SOPs.
• Support the Compliance Manager in implementing compliance initiatives and regulatory reporting.
• Prepare and submit Suspicious Activity Reports to the relevant authorities.
• Assist in regulatory inspections, UATs, and compliance‑related projects.
• Provide business units with compliant solutions and intervene when transactions pose compliance risks.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of AML, KYC, and related regulatory frameworks.
• Ability to analyse transaction patterns and identify suspicious activity.
• Proactive attitude with good relationship‑building skills across business lines.
• Attention to detail and ability to produce accurate compliance documentation.
