Control Room Officer – Logistics Operations

About the role

The Control Room Officer ensures continuous monitoring of transportation operations, tracking vehicles, routes, and driver activities 24/7. You will act as the central point of communication between drivers and internal teams to maintain smooth and safe logistics flow.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor all active trips, vehicle locations, milestones, and deviations using GPS/Tracking System and Transportation Management System (TMS).
• Communicate timely instructions and updates to drivers, ensuring compliance with assigned routes and schedules.
• Identify and follow up on delays, breakdowns, accidents, unauthorized stops, and other operational incidents.
• Escalate critical incidents to supervisors/managers and coordinate resolution with fleet, customer service, and other relevant teams.
• Document all incidents and updates in the TMS and generate daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.
• Review system data to spot recurring issues, unusual patterns, and operational gaps, and report them to management.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure in a shift‑based environment.
• Excellent communication skills for proactive interaction with drivers and internal stakeholders.
• Ability to analyze real‑time data and make quick decisions.
