Cost Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a Cost Accountant to manage product costing, manufacturing cost analysis, and inventory control. The role ensures accurate inventory valuation, monitors production costs and variances, supports financial reporting, and maintains effective internal controls.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze manufacturing costs, including material, labor, and overhead.
• Perform monthly cost closing activities and reconcile inventory and cost accounts.
• Analyze production variances, identify root causes, and provide recommendations to improve profitability.
• Review Bills of Materials (BOMs) and routing to ensure accurate product costing.
• Monitor daily inventory movements, reconcile physical inventory with SAP records, and resolve discrepancies.
• Process and review SAP inventory transactions (goods receipt, issue, transfer, physical inventory, adjustments).
• Validate production order material consumption and ensure accurate SAP postings.
• Collaborate with Production, Warehouse, Planning, Procurement, and R&D teams to improve operational efficiency and support continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in cost accounting, inventory control, or manufacturing finance.
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles, inventory valuation, standard costing, and variance analysis.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SAP (MM, PP, FI/CO modules).
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
