Data & Infrastructure Engineer

About the role

This hybrid technical position combines infrastructure virtualization, enterprise data engineering, and database administration. You will manage a Hyper‑Converged Infrastructure (HCI) environment and mission‑critical Oracle databases on Linux, supporting large‑scale data initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage virtual machines using VMware vSphere.
• Administer compute and storage resources within an HCI environment, ensuring performance and availability.
• Install, configure, and maintain enterprise applications and Oracle databases on Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
• Monitor, tune, and troubleshoot Linux systems, including CPU/GPU architectures.
• Create and optimise database objects such as views, triggers, stored procedures, and complex SQL queries.
• Maintain data quality and integrity across the Prosource corporate subsurface data store.
• Apply networking concepts (TCP/IP, SSH, VPN) to resolve connectivity issues and uphold security standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of hands‑on experience in infrastructure management, database administration, and data engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven ability to lead large‑scale enterprise data projects.
