About the role
The Deputy Regional Director (Management) supports the Regional Director in overseeing management, financial, administrative and oversight functions across the region. Acting as a deputy, the role provides strategic advice and substantive support to ensure effective operations.
Key responsibilities
- Deputize for the Regional Director on management, financial and administrative matters.
- Provide strategic advice and support to the Regional Director.
- Coordinate with Headquarters departments and divisions, as well as Country Offices.
- Oversee implementation of management and reform initiatives within the region.
- Ensure compliance with IOM policies and UN standards.
Required profile
- Eligible first‑tier candidate (internal staff, external female candidates, or candidates from non‑represented IOM Member States).
- Qualified senior‑level experience in management, finance or administration within an international or UN context.
