English Teacher

About the role

SABIS® is seeking a dedicated English Teacher to join its global network of schools. The successful candidate will deliver the SABIS curriculum, support student achievement, and contribute to a positive learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Teach English classes using provided lesson plans or develop plans based on pacing charts.
• Mark exams and assessments according to departmental schedules.
• Discuss disciplinary and performance issues with the Academic Quality Controller and Head of Department.
• Implement the SABIS Point System to maintain an effective classroom environment.
• Proctor exams and ensure a well‑managed testing environment.
• Provide guidance and motivation to low‑performing students.
• Assist with external exam preparation and revision schedules.
• Perform additional duties such as student testing, substitute teaching, organizing lunches and transportation, and other administrative tasks.
• Participate in student life activities in coordination with the Student Life Coordinator.
• Attend training sessions to deepen understanding of the SABIS system.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent qualification.
• Proficiency in English.
• Minimum of 1 year teaching experience.
• Professional behavior, ethical conduct, and strong communication skills.
• Commitment to continuous learning, accountability, and delivering results.
