Entry Level Technical Support Engineer

About the role

As an Entry Level Technical Support Engineer at Digitec, you will handle incoming technical tickets, diagnose hardware and software issues, and ensure timely resolution for clients in the New Cairo area. You will work on‑site, providing direct assistance and escalating complex problems when necessary.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and process technical tickets from the helpdesk using provided tools.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware and software problems.
• Ask targeted questions to quickly identify the root cause of issues.
• Track each case through to resolution within agreed time limits.
• Escalate unresolved issues to appropriate internal teams, such as Technical Management.
• Provide clear, prompt feedback to customers and ensure issues are properly logged.
• Prioritize and manage multiple open tickets simultaneously.
• Follow up with clients to confirm that their environment is fully functional after troubleshooting.
• Prepare accurate and timely reports and document technical knowledge in notes and manuals.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical – Electronics) – fresh graduates are welcome.
• Demonstrated ability to diagnose and repair electrical/mechanical problems.
• Experience creating and implementing preventive maintenance programs.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and remotely when required.
• Army exemption or service certificate.

Required skills

• Microsoft 365 proficiency.
• Basic technical knowledge of hardware and software troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with ERP ticketing systems and utility applications.
