Export Logistics Specialist

About the role

The Export Logistics Specialist is responsible for managing end‑to‑end export operations, ensuring shipments move smoothly from the domestic port of loading to the client’s destination port. The role supports decision‑making through data analysis and maintains compliance with international trade regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Apply and maintain contractual agreements for export logistics and shipping plans.
• Maintain data flow and prepare analyses on trade regulations and export standards.
• Receive booking orders and secure vessel slots, container types, or air freight space.
• Send RFQs to 3PL providers and steamship lines, negotiate rates and transit times.
• Issue shipping and insurance declaration forms for sea and air shipments.
• Prepare and process mandatory export documents such as commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, and bills of lading.
• Coordinate with customs brokers for domestic export clearance and ensure proper documentation for destination clearance.
• Review, verify, and follow up on vendor payment requests and invoices.
• Submit weekly statistical reports and keep the shipping quotations and freight rate database up to date.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in export logistics or freight forwarding.
• Strong knowledge of ocean/air freight operations, Incoterms and international trade regulations.
• Familiarity with Nafeza (ACI) and CargoX platforms is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; intermediate to advanced Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Excellent spoken and written English for communication with shipping lines and global clients.
