Export Operations Specialist – Freight Forwarding Focus

About the role

The Export Operations Specialist will manage end‑to‑end export shipments for air, sea and land routes, ensuring smooth coordination with carriers and compliance with all regulatory requirements. This role serves as the primary point of contact for clients, overseas agents and internal teams to guarantee timely and cost‑effective delivery of goods.

Key responsibilities

• Arrange bookings with shipping lines, airlines and land transport providers.
• Prepare, review and validate export documents such as Bill of Lading, Commercial Invoice, Packing List and Certificate of Origin.
• Submit export declarations through customs systems and monitor compliance with local and international regulations.
• Track shipments, provide status updates to clients and resolve issues like delays, documentation errors or customs holds.
• Maintain accurate shipment records, monitor costs and support profitability analysis.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration or a related field.
• 1–3 + years of experience in freight forwarding or logistics operations.
• Strong knowledge of export procedures, Incoterms and customs regulations.

Required skills

• Familiarity with Incoterms (FOB, CIF, EXW, etc.).
• Experience using customs systems, preferably NAFEZA.
• Proficiency in preparing export documentation (Bill of Lading, Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Certificate of Origin).
