Finance Lead

About the role

The Finance Lead is responsible for the operational and financial oversight of the company's day‑to‑day finance activities, reporting to the Financial Manager. This role ensures accurate financial reporting, supervises the accounting team, and monitors the financial performance of the Warehouse and Procurement departments.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the preparation and timely closing of monthly and periodic financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow).
• Ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance of accounting records with approved policies and standards.
• Directly supervise the accounting team, review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial adjustments.
• Review and analyze warehouse inventory reports, ensure proper valuation, and investigate variances.
• Monitor procurement reports, align spending with budgets, and recommend cost‑optimization measures.
• Track Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) and operating expenses, supporting internal control frameworks.
• Coordinate data consistency between Accounting, Warehouse, and Procurement departments and provide analytical reports for executive and board review.

Required profile

• Proven experience overseeing day‑to‑day finance activities and financial reporting.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise and develop an accounting team.
• Strong analytical skills with experience reviewing warehouse and procurement financial results.
• Knowledge of internal control practices and risk identification.
• Ability to prepare clear financial summaries for senior management.
