Finance R2R Senior Associate

About the role

PwC Middle East is hiring a Senior Associate in its Managed Services line of service, working as a Record to Report (R2R) Senior Finance Analyst for the Finance Service Tower in Cairo. The role delivers day-to-day finance managed service operations, covering transaction processing and the production of required reports.

Key responsibilities

• Work across core R2R report processes such as intercompany and balance sheet reconciliations, AR/AP statement reconciliations and GL reconciliations, meeting month-end close timelines
• Act as a point of contact for internal and external relationships and handle escalated, complex customer issues
• Investigate and resolve mismatches in Hyperion and other consolidation systems, and reconcile intercompany AR and AP confirmations
• Prepare, review and finalise financial, management, statistical and governmental reports, and support auditors and client personnel
• Handle project accounting, tracking capital authorization requests, setting up projects in the ERP and moving items to the Fixed Assets module
• Maintain fixed assets, run depreciation, prepare audit schedules and track expenditure against the capital budget
• Deliver tasks assigned by supervisors, meet SLAs and propose continuous improvement initiatives

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance and Accounting
• 3-8 years of experience, with a strong accounting and bookkeeping background and experience in finance operations and financial reporting
• Preferred: IPSOS and IFRS qualification, and certifications such as CPA, ACA, ACCA or CIMA

Required skills

• Understanding of accounting principles, financial statements and reporting standards (GAAP, IFRS)
• Accounting software and financial systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and advanced Excel
• Accuracy, analytical thinking and strong communication skills
