Foreign Purchasing Specialist

About the role

The Foreign Purchasing Specialist will manage end‑to‑end foreign procurement activities for FTN, a global nonwoven fabric manufacturer. Based on‑site in 10th of Ramadan, the role ensures sourcing of international suppliers, negotiation of terms, and timely delivery of materials to support production.

Key responsibilities

• Source and evaluate international suppliers, request and review quotations, and negotiate pricing, terms and delivery schedules.
• Prepare and process purchase orders, coordinate with logistics and warehouse teams to guarantee accurate and on‑time deliveries.
• Monitor inventory levels, track shipment status, and verify customs documentation to avoid shortages or overstock.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records and reports, and collaborate with finance, production and quality teams to ensure cost‑effective procurement and vendor compliance.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of purchasing processes, purchase management and analytical evaluation of pricing and supplier performance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience in foreign purchasing, international trade or import/export within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in MS Office and ERP or purchasing systems with high attention to detail.
• Effective communication in English and Arabic, both written and verbal.
