Foundational Learning Consultant (Remote, Egypt)

About the role

UNICEF is seeking a senior consultant to provide technical leadership and project management for its Foundational Learning portfolio in Egypt. The role is remote, open to Egyptian nationals, and involves close collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Technical Education (MoETE) to design, scale, and ensure quality of evidence‑based learning interventions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the technical design, planning and preparation of scale‑up packages for foundational learning programmes in partnership with MoETE.
• Coordinate timelines, stakeholders and deliverables across UNICEF and key partners to guarantee coherent, high‑quality implementation.
• Establish performance monitoring, quality‑assurance frameworks and documentation to guide effective rollout and scaling.
• Integrate Ed‑Tech solutions and blended learning approaches to expand reach and improve learning outcomes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Sciences, International Development or Humanitarian Studies; a Master’s in Education is a strong asset.
• 10–15 years of progressively responsible experience in foundational learning, early‑grade education or adolescent remediation programmes.
• Proven experience co‑designing large‑scale education interventions and working with government ministries.
