Freight Forwarding Officer – Logistics Coordination

About the role

The Freight Forwarding Officer is a full‑time, on‑site position based in Giza. You will coordinate the movement of goods with local and international freight providers, ensuring timely and accurate export and import operations for a leading furniture retailer.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review shipping documents and export paperwork.
• Track freight transportation status and update logistics systems.
• Manage customs‑related requirements in line with company policies and regulations.
• Interact with internal teams and external partners to resolve shipment issues.
• Optimize routes and costs while maintaining accurate records.
• Provide responsive customer service to internal stakeholders and external partners regarding shipment timelines, delivery status, and exceptions.

Required profile

• Strong skills in freight forwarding and transportation.
• Solid export documentation and customs knowledge.
• Excellent customer‑service orientation.
• Relevant experience in logistics, supply chain, or transportation, preferably in furniture or retail sectors.
• Knowledge of international trade regulations, Incoterms, and basic customs clearance processes.
• Strong organizational and time‑management abilities with attention to detail.
• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in logistics, business, supply chain management, or a related field (preferred).
