General Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced General Manager to lead a fast‑growing B2B ingredients business in Egypt. The business manufactures food‑grade ingredients for dairy and food manufacturers and operates in a complex foreign‑currency environment.

Key responsibilities

• Own the site and full P&L, including budget, EBITDA, margin, cash flow and plant performance.
• Scale production volumes while protecting margins, controls and food‑safety standards.
• Build and elevate the organization to a robust, sustainable structure.
• Deepen relationships with regional dairy and food manufacturers and expand into export markets.
• Collaborate with R&D to expand both core and higher‑value product ranges.

Required profile

• Proven track record running a manufacturing plant and managing a P&L in Egypt, including handling Egyptian FX.
• Demonstrated ability to grow volume and profitability simultaneously.
• Leader respected by plant floor staff and commercial teams, fostering open debate and team development.
• Integrity and substance over title; capable of building a stronger team than inherited.
