GPU Software Engineer – High-Performance Computing

About the role

Join the Calibre team at Siemens Software as a GPU Software Engineer. You will design and optimise high‑performance GPU implementations for compute‑intensive algorithms, directly enhancing the efficiency of industry‑leading semiconductor design tools.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and optimise GPU implementations for complex C/C++ algorithms.
• Create CUDA‑based solutions for compute‑intensive applications.
• Optimise kernels, memory access patterns and parallel execution to maximise GPU utilisation.
• Analyse and improve CPU/GPU interaction and data‑transfer efficiency.
• Develop GPU code for advanced signal‑processing and machine‑learning algorithms.
• Debug and profile GPU applications to resolve performance bottlenecks.
• Collaborate with software teams to integrate GPU acceleration into production systems.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics Engineering or a related field.
• Hands‑on experience with GPU programming using CUDA.
• Experience in parallel programming and multithreaded software development.
• Excellent C/C++ programming skills.
• Strong understanding of GPU architecture, memory hierarchy and parallel execution models.
• Strong debugging and problem‑solving abilities.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently and communicate effectively within a team.
