Group Tax Manager

About the role

EDECS is looking for an experienced Group Tax Manager to lead tax planning, compliance and control across its operations in Egypt, Saudi Arabia and other MEA jurisdictions. The role will oversee the tax team, develop strategies, and ensure the company meets all tax obligations while identifying process improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Provide leadership for tax planning, compliance and control across group operations and jurisdictions.
• Oversee preparation of worldwide transfer pricing documentation, including master file, local files and country‑by‑country reporting.
• Identify complex technical tax issues, conduct research and analysis to support management decisions.
• Generate tax documents on schedule and respond to information requests.
• Manage tax planning and compliance activities to ensure all liabilities are met.
• Ensure substance compliance in each jurisdiction.
• Coordinate with auditors and tax professionals to develop strategies for tax issues.
• Advise top management on new tax laws and proposed legislation.
• Identify and implement process‑improvement opportunities in tax procedures.
• Enhance tax knowledge within the group through communication and training.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of tax experience, preferably as a tax consultant.
• At least 5 years of international corporate tax experience across various MEA countries.
• Extensive knowledge of individual and corporate tax matters.
• Strong ability to work independently and collaborate with stakeholders.
• Flexibility to resolve issues and adapt to changing priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
