Health, Safety & Wellbeing Manager – MENA (6‑Month Fixed‑Term)

About the role

Danone MENA is seeking a Health, Safety and Wellbeing Manager to lead the safety agenda across the region for a six‑month maternity cover. Based in Cairo, you will shape strategy, ensure compliance with global standards and foster a strong safety culture among more than 500 employees and external partners.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain MENA compliance with Danone’s global health, safety and wellbeing standards.
• Review, adapt and improve the regional safety roadmap to meet local needs and ambitions.
• Promote a safety‑first mindset and encourage reporting of accidents and incidents.
• Design and deliver safety training programmes for Danoners, distributors and warehouse teams.
• Lead continuous sessions on health, safety and wellbeing topics.
• Conduct audits, assessments and record findings in the Sphera system, closing incidents monthly.
• Develop and implement wellbeing and employee engagement initiatives.

Required profile

• 2‑4 years of experience managing health, safety and wellbeing programmes.
• Bachelor’s degree in science, business administration or a related field.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Motivated, proactive and passionate about driving safety improvements.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience using the Sphera incident‑management system.
