Infrastructure Construction Manager

About the role

The Infrastructure Construction Manager is responsible for leading all on‑site construction activities related to roads, utilities and other civil structures. This role ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet the highest safety and quality standards while coordinating closely with stakeholders, subcontractors and internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, organise and supervise the execution of infrastructure works according to approved designs and specifications.
• Manage daily site operations, including manpower, materials, equipment and subcontractor performance.
• Monitor project progress, report deviations and ensure adherence to construction schedules.
• Review and approve construction methodologies, method statements and material submittals.
• Enforce safety, quality and environmental standards on all site activities.
• Coordinate with technical, planning, procurement and quality departments to resolve issues.
• Conduct regular site inspections and lead meetings with subcontractors and consultants.
• Control costs, optimise resource utilisation and prepare progress reports for the Project Manager.
• Mentor site engineers and supervisory teams to promote professional growth.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in large‑scale infrastructure construction (roads, utilities, heavy civil projects).
• Proven ability to manage subcontractors, site teams and multi‑discipline interfaces.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, sequencing and industry standards.
• Excellent leadership, communication and analytical skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
