International Sales & Business Development Manager – Egypt & Africa

About the role

Hitachi Rail is looking for an International Sales & Business Development Manager to lead the growth of its Revenue Collection Systems (RCS) portfolio across Egypt and the wider African region. Based in Cairo, you will work closely with public transport authorities, operators and mobility service providers to introduce innovative ticketing, fare collection and related solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage the sales pipeline for RCS products, targeting metros, buses, trams, parking and tolling projects.
• Identify new market opportunities, qualify leads and build long‑term strategic partnerships.
• Lead pre‑sales activities, prepare and negotiate offers in collaboration with the Bid department.
• Maintain high‑value customer relationships and contribute to order intake, revenue growth and cash performance.
• Track and report on sales targets, ensuring both qualitative and quantitative objectives are met.

Required profile

• Commercially driven with a strong strategic mindset.
• Deep understanding of the transport ecosystem in major Egyptian cities such as Cairo and Alexandria.
• Proven experience in selling ticketing, fare collection or related mobility solutions.
• Ability to work autonomously while aligning with global processes and digital tools.
