IPM & Housekeeping Engineer

About the role

The IPM & Housekeeping Engineer is responsible for safeguarding food safety and hygiene across the facility by managing pest control, cleaning processes, and waste handling. This role ensures compliance with GMP, GHP, HACCP and other regulatory standards while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain an Integrated Pest Management (IPM) program, applying risk assessment and food‑safety knowledge.
• Analyze pest activity trends, drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) and monitor performance indicators.
• Coordinate and evaluate pest‑control activities, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
• Lead housekeeping standards in production, utilities, external areas and warehouses, promoting a clean and safe environment.
• Monitor and improve the Cleaning‑In‑Place (CIP) program, reviewing parameters, performance results and resource utilization.
• Conduct GMP, GHP, hygiene and housekeeping inspections, preparing audit documentation and verifying corrective actions.
• Manage waste segregation, storage and disposal in line with food‑safety and environmental requirements.
• Investigate pest sightings and sanitation deviations using root‑cause analysis and risk assessment.
• Support internal, customer and regulatory audits through documentation and compliance verification.
• Prepare and analyse weekly and monthly KPI reports.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of food‑safety standards (GMP, GHP, HACCP) and integrated pest management.
• Experience in monitoring and improving cleaning‑in‑place processes.
• Ability to conduct detailed inspections, audits and root‑cause investigations.
• Excellent analytical skills for data‑driven decision making.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
