IT Support Specialist – Technical Support for Users

About the role

The IT Support Specialist will provide technical assistance to users, laboratories, and classrooms across the university. You will be the first point of contact for hardware, software, and network issues, ensuring smooth operation of all IT services.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver in‑person, phone, email, and ticket‑based support for operating systems, drivers, applications, and hardware.
• Install and configure computer applications and operating systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network‑related problems.
• Track incidents through resolution, adhering to agreed timelines.
• Document all issues and follow organizational procedures for escalation.
• Provide timely feedback and follow‑up to confirm issue resolution.
• Prepare reports on support activities and system performance.
• Assist in training end users on new systems and technologies.
• Support deployment of new software or hardware across the campus.
• Perform additional tasks related to the specialty as assigned by management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of similar technical support experience.
• Strong command of English, both written and spoken.
• Excellent communication and time‑management abilities.
• Familiarity with remote assistance and PC cloning tools.
• Basic knowledge of networking concepts and cable installation.
• Experience managing printers, scanners, and multifunction devices.
