Junior Agency Operator

About the role

Next Maritime is seeking a Junior Agency Operator to join its Alexandria office. This full‑time, on‑site position supports vessel operations, documentation, and client communication within a fast‑paced shipping environment.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate vessel operations and ensure timely service delivery.
• Prepare and manage all required shipping documentation.
• Liaise with port authorities, customs, and other stakeholders.
• Maintain clear communication with clients and internal teams.
• Assist in logistics and customs‑related processes.
• Execute tasks promptly while adhering to procedural standards.

Required profile

• Residency in Alexandria, Egypt.
• 6‑12 months experience with a ship agency.
• Strong organizational and administrative abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and problem‑solving capability.
• Basic understanding of logistics, maritime operations, or customs processes with a willingness to learn.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken); additional languages are a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Maritime Studies, Business Administration, Logistics, or related field preferred but not mandatory.
• Prior experience in maritime operations or shipping services is advantageous.
