Korean↔English Medical & Legal Interpreter – Remote

About the role

We are seeking experienced Korean‑to‑English interpreters to provide medical and legal interpretation services remotely. Work will involve over‑the‑phone (OPI), video remote interpreting (VRI), and scheduled sessions, supporting critical communication in high‑stakes environments.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret spoken Korean and English accurately in medical and legal contexts via phone or video.
• Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance throughout all interactions.
• Take concise notes and retain information to ensure continuity across sessions.
• Adapt to flexible scheduling, including on‑demand OPI/VRI and pre‑arranged appointments.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 + years of professional interpretation experience.
• Demonstrated expertise in either the medical or legal sector (or both).
• Strong listening, note‑taking, and memory retention abilities.
• Availability to work remotely on a flexible schedule.

Required skills

• Wired USB headset with active noise cancellation.
• Stable internet connection with at least 10 Mbps upload and 20 Mbps download speeds.
• HIPAA‑compliant workstation setup.
