About the role
The Legal Manager will lead legal, compliance and governance activities for Nawy Group, a financial non‑banking entity regulated by the Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA) in Egypt. The role blends strategic oversight with day‑to‑day operational support across all business functions.
Key responsibilities
- Draft, review, negotiate and finalize operational contracts such as service, partnership, client and vendor agreements while maintaining a structured contracts repository with renewal tracking.
- Provide timely legal opinions and guidance to internal departments on contractual matters and operational legal risks.
- Design and implement comprehensive legal frameworks for new business models and product lines, ensuring alignment with Egyptian law and FRA regulations.
- Act as the primary liaison with the FRA, handling compliance, regulatory filings, disclosures and licensing requirements.
Required profile
- 7‑10 years of post‑graduation experience in an in‑house corporate legal function, preferably within a FRA‑regulated entity.
- LLB from an Egyptian accredited university; a higher diploma or Master’s in corporate, capital markets or business law is preferred.
- Familiarity with GAFI and FRA procedures, including notarisation and authentication workflows.
