Maintenance Site Supervisor

About the role

Geocycle Egypt is seeking a Maintenance Site Supervisor to lead daily maintenance operations at its waste‑management plant. The role ensures safe, reliable, and continuous plant performance while complying with Egyptian ecological regulations and company standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all daily maintenance activities across the plant, including the biomass screening system and shredding line.
• Manage spare‑parts inventory, guaranteeing timely availability of critical components to maximise equipment uptime.
• Monitor equipment performance, diagnose faults and execute corrective and preventive maintenance actions.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis (RCA) of equipment downtime and implement improvement initiatives.
• Develop and enforce risk assessments, Safe Work Instructions (SWIs) and isolation procedures before maintenance work.
• Maintain fire‑detection, prevention and protection systems in line with safety regulations.
• Ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures, maintain accurate maintenance logs and reports.
• Oversee workforce attendance and optimise manpower allocation for maintenance schedules.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising plant‑level maintenance activities in an industrial environment.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and PPE management.
• Ability to manage inventory and coordinate spare‑parts logistics.
• Experience conducting RCA and implementing preventive measures.
• Familiarity with developing risk assessments and SWIs.
