Material Planning Engineer

About the role

Join Elsewedy Electric’s Graduate Development Program as a Material Planning Engineer. You will support production by translating schedules and engineering specifications into accurate raw‑material requirements, ensuring a smooth flow of supplies to the shop floor.

Key responsibilities

• Develop raw‑material requirements based on production schedules and engineering specs.
• Prioritise material needs to meet daily production demand.
• Create and maintain purchase requisitions for all raw materials.
• Generate supplier delivery schedules and material forecasts.
• Coordinate material flow with Purchasing, Warehouse and Production teams.
• Monitor inventory balances, investigate shortages and overages, and perform root‑cause analysis.
• Maintain and update MRP system data, resolving planning issues promptly.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.
• 0‑2 years of experience in material planning, inventory management or a similar function.
