Mechanical Designer (SolidWorks Specialist)

About the role

We are looking for a Mechanical Designer specialized in SolidWorks to join our engineering team in Alexandria. The role involves creating and optimizing mechanical components and assemblies for manufacturing.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical systems, components, and assemblies using SolidWorks.
• Perform simulations and analyses such as FEA, CFD, and motion studies to validate designs.
• Produce detailed 2‑D drawings, apply GD&T, and generate Bills of Materials for production.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional engineers to improve performance, cost, and manufacturability.
• Conduct prototype testing and iterate designs based on feedback.
• Ensure all designs comply with industry standards and best practices.

Required profile

• 3–7 years of experience in mechanical design.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks and SolidWorks Simulation.
• Experience with ANSYS or similar simulation tools.
• Hands‑on experience operating laser cutting machines and CNC press brakes.
• Background in sheet‑metal fabrication, laser cutting, or CNC bending.
• Ability to interpret technical requirements and propose innovative solutions.
• Portfolio of previous design projects (preferred).
