Mechanical Engineer – Production Line Maintenance

About the role

PepsiCo is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to lead maintenance of its production line in North Africa. The role focuses on ensuring equipment efficiency, safety, and supporting staff development to meet the annual operation plan.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain production equipment to required efficiency levels.
• Apply maintenance procedures while ensuring safety of personnel and machinery.
• Lead and support the maintenance team administratively and technically on a daily basis.
• Monitor, analyze and report maintenance key performance indicators.
• Troubleshoot control systems, including PLCs and drives.
• Manage weekly consumption of electricity, water and gas.
• Control weekly maintenance expenses and oversee spare‑part withdrawals above the MLE threshold.
• Collaborate with the purchasing department on technical issues and review strategic spare‑part items annually.
• Ensure work orders are completed and returned spare parts are accounted for.

Required profile

• Experience in production line maintenance and staff training.
• Ability to analyze performance data and produce follow‑up reports.
