Online German Teacher

About the role

As an Online German Teacher for EF Teach Online, you will deliver German lessons to adult learners worldwide through the Hyperclass platform. You will use ready‑made lesson plans and conduct both group (45 min) and one‑on‑one (40 min) sessions with complete flexibility and no minimum hour requirement.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct conversational group lessons (45 minutes) and individual lessons (40 minutes) using the Hyperclass virtual classroom.
• Follow prepared lesson materials and adapt them to students’ needs.
• Engage learners through interactive tools, including a green screen setup.
• Maintain a reliable technical environment meeting EF’s hardware and software specifications.

Required profile

• Fluent German proficiency (C2 or equivalent).
• Strong English proficiency (B2/C1).
• Bachelor’s degree (translation required if not in English, French or German).
• Language teaching certification of at least 120 hours.
• Previous teaching experience is a plus.

Required skills

• Intel i5 (11th gen or newer) or AMD Ryzen 3000+ processor, or Mac M1 chip (or newer).
• Minimum 8 GB RAM.
• Windows 11+ or macOS (last three major versions).
• Google Chrome (latest three major versions).
• Digital or physical green screen.
