OPC Wayside Manager – Construction Management

About the role

Alstom Grid is looking for an OPC Wayside Manager to lead the execution of line‑segment construction activities in Cairo. You will work closely with civil partners, internal subsystems and Alstom construction managers to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and to quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate weekly meetings with subsystems to assign Permit to Work (PTW) priorities for line segments.
• Issue PTWs promptly to avoid delays.
• Engage with civil partners to finalize remaining works on line segments.
• Manage shared working areas to prevent disruption to Alstom activities.
• Track and control milestones related to line‑segment construction.
• Oversee and schedule line‑segment gauge tests with the Alstom team.
• Supervise civil partners for beam rectification works and organise weekly KPI meetings.
• Mobilise execution teams and align activities with Alstom construction managers.
• Resolve interface issues and ensure timely closure of snags in line with project timelines.

Required profile

• Engineering degree (preferably civil or railway engineering).
• Minimum 10 years of experience in rail or large‑scale construction projects.
• Strong commitment to safety and EHS guidelines.
• Proven ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and manage complex interfaces.

Required skills

• Knowledge of rail installation processes.
