Packaging & Development Officer – FMCG Packaging Innovation

About the role

Dabur is seeking a Packaging & Development Officer to lead product packaging innovation and upgrades for its FMCG portfolio. You will work closely with marketing, production, and suppliers to bring new packaging concepts to market while ensuring cost efficiency and quality.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in new product development and upgrade existing packaging designs.
• Conduct benchmarking studies against domestic and international competitors.
• Run trials, approvals, and coordinate first‑batch production, providing feedback to relevant units.
• Lead cost‑reduction programs without compromising product quality.
• Select and develop reliable vendors offering optimal quality and cost benefits.
• Prepare and maintain documentation such as BOMs, specifications, artwork files, and shade cards.
• Manage mold commissioning processes and online proofing with suppliers.
• Support the Senior Manager – Packaging Development in daily activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering or a related field from a reputable university.
• 2‑5 years of experience in FMCG, with at least 2 years in a packaging function.
• Strong command of written and spoken English.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
