Part‑time Adjunct Instructor – Biology

About the role

The Louisiana State University of Alexandria seeks qualified part‑time adjunct instructors to teach biology courses for the 2025‑2026 academic year. Instructors may deliver classes online, on campus, or a combination of both, supporting a new fully online B.S. in Biology program.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver online and/or on‑campus biology courses aligned with LSU Online standards.
• Complete LSU Online training and maintain compliance with accessibility requirements.
• Respond to student inquiries within 24 hours or the next business day.
• Maintain regular virtual or physical office hours for student support.
• Uphold high instructional standards and contribute to curriculum consistency.

Required profile

• Master’s, M.A., or Ph.D. in a biological science sub‑discipline with at least 18 graduate hours in biology.
• Two years of experience developing or teaching online courses preferred.
• ABD candidates considered if the Ph.D. is completed by the hire date.
