Plate Work Detailing Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Plate Work Detailing Engineer to join EAST – Engineering and Services Technology. The role focuses on creating detailed plate work and steel fabrication drawings for a variety of structures, supporting EPC projects across infrastructure, energy and industrial sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and develop detailed plate work and steel fabrication drawings using AutoCAD, SolidWorks or Tekla.
• Review and verify engineering designs to ensure compliance with technical specifications and quality standards.
• Produce shop drawings, erection drawings, fabrication details and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Ensure all detailing outputs meet project timelines and quality requirements.
• Utilize advanced 3‑D modelling and 2‑D drawing skills throughout the detailing process.

Required profile

• Minimum 4–7 years of experience in plate work detailing.
• Strong background in structures such as tanks, silos, pressure vessels, ducting and hoppers.
• Good knowledge of welding types, applications and welding symbols.

Required skills

• Proficiency with AutoCAD.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks and/or Tekla (experience with both preferred).
• Advanced 3‑D modelling and 2‑D drawing capabilities.
• Understanding of welding symbols and welding processes.
