Product Engineer – Home Appliances

About the role

We are seeking a Product Engineer to drive the development and launch of cooking appliances for Alarabia Group. You will act as the bridge between manufacturing, marketing, and international suppliers to ensure products meet market needs and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct brand benchmarking and market research on competitor cooking appliances.
• Create and maintain technical sheets, product catalogues, and requirement documents.
• Coordinate agile product launch projects between the manufacturing plant and marketing teams.
• Manage daily communications with international vendors regarding purchase orders, component sourcing, production timelines, and logistics.
• Review and audit Bill of Materials cost structures for component changes or upgrades.
• Evaluate samples, datasheets, and compliance certificates to ensure alignment with Egyptian standards.
• Monitor shop‑floor efficiency and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with post‑sales teams to analyze defect rates and feed technical feedback to suppliers.
• Ensure manufacturing compliance with internal standards and best practices.
• Draft product guides and training materials, and conduct technical training for sales, marketing, and call‑center teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Production Engineering.
• 2–3 years of product engineering, R&D, or operations experience in the home appliances sector, preferably cooking appliances.
• Fluent professional English (written and spoken) for supplier communication.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in MS Office.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Competence in analyzing technical datasheets and quality compliance frameworks.
• Experience with Bill of Materials analysis and cost auditing.
