Product Specialist - Dermatology

About the role

Imdad is looking for a Product Specialist for its Dermatology line in Cairo. The role promotes and sells the company's products to new and existing customers through regular visits, and covers after-sales support such as in-service training, follow-up on collections, coaching junior staff and maintaining strong customer relationships. The specialist must give accurate, detailed information on the company's products and programmes compared with those of competitors.

Key responsibilities

• Use a consultative approach to prospect clients, identify or create the need for Imdad products, and keep customers updated on product changes and enhancements.
• Schedule meetings with existing and new customers and perform professional product demonstrations on site using sales aids and marketing data.
• Gather information on prospects (ownership, working physicians, equipment, status) and update customer databases with contact details.
• Submit weekly reports on sales activities, competitor activity and pricing changes.
• Follow up on accounts receivable for sales accounts under your responsibility.
• Maintain relationships with key decision-makers, doctors and key customers, and generate new client business.
• Deliver in-service training for customers' end users on system applications.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Biomedical Engineering, Bioscience, Nursing, Chemistry or another scientific field.
• 2+ years of experience in pharmaceutical or medical devices sales; dermatology line experience is a plus.
• Cairo-based candidate; driving licence and car required.
• Bilingual Arabic and English is a must.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
• Negotiation, influencing and communication skills, with the ability to engage prospective clients and KOLs.
• Time management and organisation, working at pace and handling multiple tasks.
