Production & Planning Director – Mills (Cotton Spinning)

About the role

The Mills Production & Planning Director will lead strategic planning and scheduling for Eshratex's cotton spinning operations in Alexandria. This senior position ensures that customer orders are executed efficiently, on time, and with the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Strategic planning and capacity mapping across all production departments.
• Develop and maintain the Master Production Schedule (MPS) based on order priority, delivery dates, and machine availability.
• Create and monitor the Time & Action Calendar for each order, from lab‑dip approval to final packing.
• Forecast and coordinate raw‑material procurement through Material Requirement Planning (MRP).
• Apply Lean Manufacturing principles (5S, Kaizen, Just‑in‑Time) to improve floor efficiency and reduce lead time.
• Lead daily inter‑departmental meetings with merchandisers and floor managers to resolve quality, shortage, or technical issues.
• Track and report key performance indicators such as efficiency %, downtime, on‑time delivery (OTD) and right‑first‑time (RFT) in dyeing.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Textile Engineering or Industrial Engineering.
• Age between 35‑45 years.
• 10‑15 years of production planning experience in textile or apparel manufacturing.
• Strong analytical mindset, ability to work under pressure and solve supply‑chain disruptions.
