Production Shift Leader - Powder Blends

About the role

Givaudan is seeking a Production Shift Leader for its Powder Blends operation within the Flavours & Fragrances division. Reporting to the Production Supervisor/Manager, you will ensure smooth, safe and efficient production during your assigned shift while guiding and coordinating the shift team. You will oversee workflow, materials and equipment, support GMP, safety and quality standards, and drive productivity through Lean and continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Provide leadership to flavours and fragrances production personnel on the assigned shift.
• Drive productivity by prioritising workflow, coordinating schedules, materials and equipment.
• Control inventory of production supplies and ensure timely on‑time product delivery.
• Oversee maintenance of machines and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with work schedules, safety regulations and company policies.
• Complete documentation to communicate shift activities, equipment status and priorities to other shifts and management.
• Support Lean concepts, execute defined Lean tasks and propose continuous‑improvement ideas.
• Assume supervisory responsibilities in the absence of the Supervisor.
• Assist the Supervisor with GMP, safety, plant and departmental procedures.
• Train and instruct full‑time and temporary staff as needed.
• Provide verbal feedback to employees and relay performance information to management.

• Experience in a fast‑paced production environment, preferably in flavours or fragrances.
• Strong leadership and team‑coordination abilities.
• Commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement.
• Ability to manage resources and meet production schedules.
