Program Manager – Business Waste Reduction (MENA)

About the role

Amazon is expanding its presence in the Middle East and North Africa and is seeking a Program Manager to lead its Returns and Business Waste (CBW) initiatives in the MENA region. This 12‑month fixed‑term role, based in Cairo, focuses on reducing the cost to serve customers and sellers by driving operational excellence across the fulfillment network.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver P&L savings by identifying and implementing cost‑reduction programs for business waste.
• Lead new initiatives to lower the cost to serve, working with Supply Chain, Category, Customer Service, Transportation, Finance, Fulfillment Centers and Tech teams.
• Design and implement customer‑centric solutions to reduce order cancellations and delivery exceptions.
• Influence cross‑functional stakeholders using quantitative and qualitative data to align conflicting KPIs.
• Gather requirements, write detailed documentation, and manage program prioritisation and resource allocation.

Required profile

• 2+ years of program or project management experience.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong customer‑obsession.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Comfortable operating in a fast‑paced environment and handling large, complex data sets.
• Willingness to roll up sleeves and address emerging operational issues.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Lean principles and DMAIC methodology.
• Experience with MS Access and SQL.
• Ability to gather requirements and produce clear, detailed documentation.
