Project Officer - Innovation in Sustainable Design

About the role

UNDP Egypt is seeking a Project Officer to support the Danish Egyptian Dialogue Initiative (DEDI) – a four‑year programme focused on innovation in sustainable design, green transition and youth engagement. The officer will provide technical assistance, coordinate programme activities and ensure effective partnership and grant management across the three DEDI components.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support for the implementation of DEDI’s three components: youth‑led sustainable design innovation, green environmental literacy, and youth dialogue on climate and security.
• Coordinate programme activities, timelines and deliverables in collaboration with Danish and Egyptian partners.
• Manage grants, oversee financial reporting and ensure compliance with UNDP Results‑Based Management standards.
• Develop and maintain partnerships with governmental, non‑governmental and academic stakeholders.
• Support capacity‑building initiatives, monitoring and reporting of project outcomes.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in project coordination or management within sustainable development, climate change or green transition contexts.
• Familiarity with youth engagement and capacity‑building processes.
• Understanding of UNDP procedures, grant management and results‑based monitoring.
