Projects Director – Construction Portfolio

About the role

The Projects Director will provide overall leadership and strategic direction for a portfolio of construction projects in Egypt. The role ensures that each project is delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the required quality standards while supporting the organisation's broader objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution and delivery of multiple construction projects from mobilisation to hand‑over.
• Monitor progress, cost, quality and schedule performance, implementing corrective actions when needed.
• Ensure consistent application of construction standards, methodologies and best practices.
• Oversee project budgets, cash‑flow, cost control and financial reporting across the portfolio.
• Identify, assess and mitigate risks to avoid delays, claims or cost overruns.
• Support commercial and contractual decisions in partnership with Contracts and Commercial teams.
• Mentor and develop senior project managers and other project staff.
• Act as senior point of contact for key clients, consultants and external stakeholders.
• Guarantee compliance with Health, Safety, Security, Environment and Sustainability (HSSE) policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• 15–20 years of experience managing large, complex, multi‑project construction portfolios.
• Strong commercial, contractual and financial management background.
• Proven experience in EPC or large‑contractor environments.
