QA Specialist

About the role

The QA Specialist ensures food safety, quality, and regulatory compliance across production processes at Kerry. Working in a food and beverage manufacturing environment, the role involves conducting inspections, supporting laboratory testing, and investigating quality issues to maintain high standards.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct and document chemical, physical, and organoleptic testing of raw materials and finished products following approved methods and SOPs.
• Perform sanitation and hygiene testing in line with company standards and regulatory requirements.
• Identify and report non‑conformances, support investigations, and assist in corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Inspect and receive raw and packaging materials according to receiving procedures and specifications.
• Maintain proper storage, traceability, and sampling of retained and shelf‑life samples.
• Perform internal calibration checks, routine verification, and minor maintenance of laboratory equipment.
• Ensure compliance with food safety and quality requirements on production lines and follow Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), HACCP, ISO, hygiene, and EHS procedures.
• Enter, track, and report data using Microsoft Excel and inventory management systems.
• Communicate with cross‑functional teams and escalate issues to the Quality Supervisor as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, Agriculture or a related scientific discipline.
• 2–3 years of hands‑on experience in Quality Assurance or laboratory testing within the food & beverage industry.
• Solid understanding of food safety, quality standards and regulatory requirements.

Required skills
