Reliability Maintenance Engineering Planner

About the role

The Reliability Maintenance Engineering Planner is responsible for managing assets, spares, and preventative maintenance planning while maintaining comprehensive machine history data. This role serves as the site lead for the CMMS software, ensuring data accuracy and supporting engineering decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the site‑level Subject Matter Expert for the CMMS, train the engineering team, and escalate issues to the AMET team.
• Maintain equipment, spare parts, and minimum holding levels in the system to guarantee technician readiness.
• Schedule and forecast preventative maintenance tasks to achieve high equipment availability.
• Compile equipment performance metrics, machine histories, and recommend improvements.
• Manage spare parts inventory, place orders, and track deliveries while seeking cost efficiencies.
• Screen work orders, define scope, and schedule maintenance activities based on resources, criticality, and maintenance windows.
• Perform equipment quality audits, identify safety hazards, and estimate work hours.
• Ensure all work orders are created, executed, and closed in the EAM system following Amazon’s maintenance virtuous cycle.
• Develop warranty processes to improve OEM uptime and reduce costs.

Required profile

• Proven expertise as a CMMS subject matter expert.
• Strong background in preventative maintenance planning and asset management.
• Experience managing spare parts inventories and procurement coordination.
• Ability to analyze equipment downtime data and drive reliability improvements.
