Requirements & Configuration Working Student

About the role

We are looking for a Requirements & Configuration Working Student to support our high‑speed rail project in Egypt. You will join Siemens Mobility’s multidisciplinary team and help manage project requirements and configuration data throughout the lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Support the management and maintenance of project requirements and configuration data.
• Organise, track and update technical and contractual requirements to ensure accuracy and traceability.
• Maintain project documentation, records and databases according to established standards.
• Prepare reports, spreadsheets and perform data analysis using Microsoft Excel and other digital tools.
• Conduct research and data collection to support engineering and project‑management activities.
• Assist in monitoring project progress and follow up on assigned actions with stakeholders.
• Support the implementation of digital tools and AI‑assisted solutions to improve workflows.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely communication and effective information management.
• Perform administrative and technical tasks assigned by the Requirements and Configuration Management team.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s engineering programme (3rd or 4th year).
• Strong interest in requirements management, configuration management or railway systems.
• Proactive, fast learner with a problem‑solving mindset.
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities.

Required skills
