Risk Analyst

About the role

Geidea is seeking a Risk Analyst to implement and maintain its Egypt risk management framework, focusing on fraud and operational risk. You will work closely with multiple departments to ensure risks are identified, measured, and mitigated effectively.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the risk register and RCSA for all departments, documenting impact, inherent risk, and controls.
• Escalate high residual risks to the Risk Manager and Head of Risk & Compliance and track corrective actions.
• Support incident reporting, investigate root causes, and follow up on remediation to limit operational losses.
• Maintain Key Risk Indicators (KRI) with impact appetite, tolerance, and breach monitoring.
• Monitor chargeback versus fraud cases, investigate causes, and coordinate corrective measures.
• Manage relationships with acquirer banks for suspected transactions.
• Review processes, procedures, and system parameters for efficiency improvements.
• Monitor merchant sales volume and adjust risk parameters as needed.
• Assist in merchant onboarding, including KYC verification, especially for e‑commerce merchants.
• Track daily e‑commerce and POS transactions via the GSDK system and analyze detected fraud cases.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in fraud or operational risk roles.
• Proven experience with risk assessment and management techniques.
• Strong problem‑solving, analytical, interpersonal, and stakeholder‑management abilities.
