SCADA Operator - Fermentation Department

About the role

Lesaffre Egypt for Yeast Industries, a joint-stock company producing baking yeasts and yeast extracts, is hiring a SCADA operator for its fermentation department in the Nubariyah industrial area. The role covers operating, monitoring and troubleshooting SCADA systems, coordinating manual operations with technicians, and supporting the shift leader.

Key responsibilities

• Operate, monitor and troubleshoot SCADA systems for fermentation, separation and CIP.
• Make sure the production sequence runs correctly and report non-conformities to the shift leader.
• Coordinate manual operations and valve activities with technicians.
• Check that utilities serving the fermentation department stay within specifications.
• Follow the fermentation schedule and escalate delays or issues immediately.
• Collect, verify, clean and deliver accurate, analysis-ready process data.
• Compile and submit shift and fermentation reports on time.
• Act as shift leader backup when required.
• Create, release and confirm fermentation batches in SAP.
• Supervise feeding inlets of running fermenters and record ingredient additions accurately in the fermentation sheet.
• Follow up with the Process Laboratory Control Technician on fermentation parameters and report abnormal results to the shift leader.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a science specialization such as Chemistry or Biochemistry.
• 1 to 3 years of experience.
